Michal Harmata is the Executive Director of EFI’s Washington Office. An experienced foreign policy analyst and technology communicator, he is interested in the intersection of diplomacy, emerging tech, and conflict. Harmata is also the Director of Communications at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC). Prior to VOC, he oversaw research and publications at the Center for European Policy Analysis. Harmata lives in Alexandria, Virginia and enjoys filmmaking, science fiction, and woodworking.
